That’s right, I’ve used one of the new race change potions from the station marketplace to change my Warlock from Fae to Dark Elf!
The cost is $25 the same as the character transfer and allows me to feel better about playing my character. Since I began playing Naitey again I have been using his Dark Elf illusion mask all the time as I didn’t think a Fae was a twisted enough race to be a Warlock, after his change from Wizard previously.
I’ve always been against the so called station cash, but the addition of character transfers and race change potions I actually think are a good thing. Services like these were previously a right royal pain to arrange, now you can do them from within the game itself.
I’m still against actual stat gear been introduced, though this hasn’t happened as of yet. Fluff items I’m fine with and as I’ve said services in the marketplace are a good idea as they make the process smoother all round for the player base.
I won’t be buying anything else mind, the appearance armour sets are not that special and the fluff items are… well fluff items. I won’t ever be spending my cash on things that give me no in game benefit, questing for fluff items is fine, but spending cash on them won’t be happening.

Its a tough balance with the station cash, I've been feeling a lot better about it though since the change in direction Smokejumper announced where upon items for sale on the marketplace are also achieveable somewhere in game.
E.g. the mount in ZUA, with that change I don't feel that buying station case items purely funds more station cash items which was a bit problem before.
Although like you I'm still totally against any stat items being there, and that includes the mounts currently, I'd really feel a lot better if they removed the stats from all mounts anyway.
So far I have only purchased two items, both illusions for my mystic since I'm not a dog lover, and even if I was the wolf's constant barking I'm sure would be just as irritating. As for if I buy anything else isn't sure, a character slot feels great value for money, but appearance gear would have to be fantastic for a Froglok to motivate me.
