As some of you will know my main MMO at the moment is Everquest 2, I’ve been playing Everquest 2 constantly (along with an other MMO or two), since beta. My first MMO however was the original Everquest and although I had all kinds of characters, my final character and the one I became known as was Yetian a Barbarian shaman. Although I never maxed him with regards to his level, Yetian was my highest character in Everquest and I did manage to get my epic. That damn epic had me so stressed the Girlfriend said I was talking about a “damn stick thing” in my sleep.
On into Everquest 2 and I made my first character Yetian as a Halfling Enchanter (Illusionist) on the Splitpaw server, this character never felt right and I remade him as a Dwarf Shaman/Mystic. This version of Yetian also fell by the wayside as I just couldn’t get into Mystics in Everquest 2, I even changed to Defiler to try that class but something was missing. I also created and leveled other characters such as my Necro Vilesh (70), my Fae Wizard Naitey (73) and a few other alts. My main character at the moment is Mawmet a Sarnak Inquisitor a level 80/Master Weaponsmith/Master Tinkerer complete with Fabled epic. I enjoy playing Mawmet and enjoy playing a healer class once more, but when the time came to make my latest alt I decided to remake Yetian one last time, this time as a Barbarian Warden.
I am enjoying playing a pure healer again which has always been my favourite kind of class. Now Yetian is a Barbarian once again and I’m playing as the character (name) everyone knows me as I’m loving being Yetian once more. In a short time he’s managed to get to adventure level 65 and is a 68 tailor, I’ve done 20 odd HQ’s and all kinds of other quests. I am a casual gamer though so I still like to take my time. I’m even trying to work the Claymore and Swords of Destiny lines which are two quest lines I never completed on my other characters.
I guess the point of this post is, do you have a character name/race combo you keep coming back to in various games? Do you feel more comfortable playing that class/race than others? I’d be interested to see your thoughts on the matter.
On another note here’s a pic I had done by the owner of Dragon’s Art showing the original Everquest Yetian in all his glory.

Dwarven Paladin all the way for me, my first character was a random selection of a Dwarven Cleric, but i did like the fighting a bit too much, and my healing skills suffered, after having got to level 15, i decided to re-roll as a Paladin, and have played one ever since. At first i kept Wodge as a dwarf purely for the stats, they had the highest base stamina of all the races that could play a Paladin, and to a certain extent the same is true in EQ2, they have the much needed +3% HP and +5 Defense racial traits for tanking (much better than what appears to be the most played paladin race, the Barbarian) but to be honest, if it was purely for stats now, i'd have made him an iksar and betrayed, because they have superior racial traits
Since EQ I've always had a character called Khelor Koncerto, it's the first character I created in EQ and carried the same character over from Povar to Bristlebane when I moved to join the eq2 mailing list guys on the unofficial English server.
When I started EQ2, I created Khelor as a Barbarian, but it didn't feel right, previously I was a Half Elf.
Sres is my gaming tag for FPS games and I never really thought it worked in a fantasy arena, however I think it suits the Iksar SK class and so rolled one of those when I played PvP with some Danish mates, annoyingly I couldn't move it to Splitpaw when I came back so started again and have really enjoyed playing it and still do.
Sres (pronounced Ssres, not S-Res) is basically my main, however Khelor will always be my name of choice and is always booked with new games regardless of whether I play that character or not.
For some unknown and inexplicable reason I *always* play a ranger/hunter class – or whatever class is available that happens to have a bow and arrow. Don't know why. I've tried to play fighter, cleric and magic user classes, but I always end up with a wilderness and tree-loving hippy class. Perhaps I was a druid in a former life…

My first pen'n'paper character ever was a dwarven warrior named Ffaffner. Ever since, i've been a dwarf at heart in a way that MMO's without dwarves really needs something special to make up for it!
My first MMO character (EQ1 was the game) was a dwarf paladin foolishly named Abnesher. Upon creating him i had no idea what an MMO exactly was, so i just named him after the text on top of danish milk-cartons, which says "Opens Here"…that's what happens when all you wanna do is play the damn game without all this setting-up and registering.
Since then i've been hooked on dwarven paladins, and have also taken my true name into use: Ffaffner! I loved tanking in EQ1 and have always thought of myself as a tank at heart. Alas, the art of tanking has changed dramatically since then, and newer games' focus on fastpaced killing of multiple mobs has made me seriously consider changing class-archetype.
I've tried my share of casters, but I have to admit: When it comes down to it, I need to be up in the mobs face wielding something sharp. Now for a (new) main character I simply HAVE to be a dwarf, and this is where EQ2 is a wonderful, wonderful game: You can (almost) be any class/character-combination you want to be. Concentrating on melee, the ranger-class is too pew-pew for me and the different rogues seem too deceptive and untrustworthy to my style of play…well…except the wonderfully flamboyant SWASHBUCKLER (Insert heroic theme, posings and accented shoutings of "HAHAA!"). To make him a dwarf too just makes for a lot of overweight sexyness and flava!
So meet Ffaffner in a whole new form: Faffy Fancypants the swashbuckler…it's still Ffaffner..just with a twist
Started as a dwarf pally in WoW. Had no clue whatsoever what I was doing, and soon rolled Crackpot, a gnome wizard. Played him for more than two years, and still gets a bit wet around the eyes when thinking about the good old Crackpot days.
When leaving that MMO for another, I was looking forward to rolling another Crackpot, but EQ2 is not that kind of game, were you can call your characters naughty stuff like Crackpot.
Trying to cope with the dissapointment of not being allowed to bear my real name, I settled for Hotpocket and healing. Loved playing a healer before, and still do.
