Came home from work today, to find a MYSTERIOUS PACKAGE!!
What was inside? Was it a car door? No, too small. Was it a golden beetle? Nope, too big. Was it a Final Fantasy XIV Collectors Edition?
Yes, yes it was.
After the break comes my first unboxing, in pictures as video scares me… /cry
This fine container, holds the CE, sturdy cardboard, nice pictures, system requirements, that kinda thing.
At the top of the box, is this little gizmo. Square Enix call this a “Security Token”, push the red button and it generates a random 6 digit number which can be used in conjunction with your Username and Password to make your account much more secure. Not the foggiest how it works, I mean, I could punch a calculator and generate 6 numbers… must be a specific algorithm or somesuch.
A CLOTH MAP! A RUDDY CLOTH MAP!!! Always a sign of quality when your RPG comes with a cloth map. Quite abstract, using for navigational purposes is not advised.
A metal drinking receptacle, wrapped in a leathery substance, with the Final Fantasy logo embossed on one side, I recommend putting “a cold one” in there.
Here is the full contents of the box, some good stuff. Now just gotta wait a few more days to play it!
