Star Trek Online Screenshots

Star Trek Online Shot 1A quick post to let you all see some screen shots we have been sent for the upcoming MMO Star Trek Online.

Some nice images here for you trek fans. :)

I signed up for the beta myself though I’m not as much of a Sci-Fi MMO fan as I am of the High Fantasy type games. The last Sci-Fi MMO I played was Star Wars Galaxies and I left that when Everquest 2 was released. The screen shots do look very nice though it has to be said.

Have any of you signed up for the beta, or are you planning to? What are your thoughts on this upcoming MMO?

Blood Moon event – Champions Online

I received an email today that Champions Online players might enjoy reading.

Champions Online will be running a Halloween event, Blood Moon. The event will be available from October 27th to November 10th. Players can access the event via a free weekend from Oct. 30th – Nov. 2nd.

From Fae to Dark Elf

That’s right, I’ve used one of the new race change potions from the station marketplace to change my Warlock from Fae to Dark Elf!

The cost is $25 the same as the character transfer and allows me to feel better about playing my character. Since I began playing Naitey again I have been using his Dark Elf illusion mask all the time as I didn’t think a Fae was a twisted enough race to be a Warlock, after his change from Wizard previously.

Warden Appearance Suggestions?

I was in EQ2 last night grouping with my guild to do sections of Apollion’s Shadow Knight Epic. Good fun was had as always in neXus groups and we completed the stages with ease. I even picked up some AA from named and parts of Karnor’s Castle that I had somehow missed previously on Yetian.

Afterwards I found myself thinking that his current Appearance armour could use a change. The appearance armour I have at the moment is actually that of the Tier 2 Warden shard armour as you can see from my previous post, so it’s my actual equipment rather than a set for appearance.

So any suggestions for a nice new appearance set for Yetian? I don’t mind if I have to quest for it, he just needs a change of look.

Going Public

Having reached what I believe to be the tenth level of MMO hell, The Plateau of Eternal Soloing, I have decided to give Lord of the Rings Online a bit of a rest and spend some time investigating the merits of Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning. One aspect of MMO gameplay that Champions Online recently introduced me to that WAR also offers is the concept of the public quest.

Everquest 2 event – Rat Race

ratrace_bannerEverquest 2 servers are to host a GM led event, the Norrathian Rat Race.

Server dates and times can be seen via the link above. The first race is actually today!

For my server Splitpaw the event is on the 20th, a week from now. I’m going to have to run home from work to make it in time though.

Anyone plan on attending?

Hussars squad night: FB busting

A quick post this morning about the Hussars squad night last night in BE. I apologise for the lack of pics, I was too busy making a mess of things to take any. ;)

We started the squad night rolling out Tanks from what I gather. At the time I got online we decided to change our aim for the night and strengthen the Allied front line by spending the night blowing Forward Bases (FB’s). If you’ve read some of my previous posts you will know I often spend time doing this myself so I was more than happy to join the FB busting night.

French Army Rank 8 – Randomness

Lontan Rolls my rideAn update today on my Battleground Europe progress. I’ve managed to hit French Army Rank 8 by doing all kinds of random missions and using anything from my trusty Rifleman to an ATG (Anti Tank Gun). Rank 8 however, doesn’t provide me with anything other than a change to my badge so there’s no new equipment to talk about today.

Instead I’ve decided to give you all a quick run down of the kinds of things I’ve been up to in Battleground Europe since my last post. Some amusing, some strange and many rides in the trusty Laffy transport truck.
