While checking the web the other day I spotted a post by EQ2 Producer Brenlo from a week or so ago where he details the expected content of the next game update for EQ2. The update is due in May and while it does contain Halas, there are a good amount of other changes scheduled. I guess larger updates are to be expected since EQ2 moved to the quarterly update cycle, so there’s plenty in this one for you to think about.
A quick post today, showing some shiny pics I’ve taken while questing around Sundered Frontier.
This is the 2nd and final part of the pictoral tour as I’m not far away from entering the next zone, Stonebrunt Highlands. Yetian is now level 85 and still has some quests to do given by npc’s in Paineel after finishing the ones in the Stonebrunt Encampment.
The first few pics are of the Dragon Toxxulia and his/her mound/home when the Dragon in question isn’t flying around the zone. Toxxulia is none aggro but does look good flying around the place. The next 5 pics are of Kerra Isle an area I spent a good while questing and crafting in.
It’s been a while now since Sentinel’s Fate was released and as you can see from previous posts I’ve been exploring the first zone while questing and crafting.
I am now at the point where I’m not far from finishing the quests in Sundered Frontier and I have enjoyed the quests so far. I think the main reason for this is unlike the Ruins of Kunark expansion I’ve been taking things a bit slower. When RoK the last level increase expansion was released my main character Yetian was my entire focus and as a result I rose through the levels pretty quickly.
It’s a nice zone though and as Keoq one of our members commented, it’s nice to see other people in a dungeon type zone.
I won’t go into details of what each pic is as I was healing at the time and didn’t have time to note areas down. As there are many heroic ^^^ mobs in the hole I couldn’t really go back and take notes.
Instead, here is your chance to tour the hole with neXus. Your guides for the tour are Yetian, Milkyjoe, Urstrix, Katary, Gotchi and Keoq.
It’s that time again, the new Everquest 2 expansion Sentinel’s fate is released on Monday 16th (head start date).
I had an email last night from DLgamer so I’ve bought my copy from them via Digital download pre-order.
Here’s the link in case anyone else wants it:
It’s not an affiliate link or anything similar, just thought I’d let you know where I bought mine.
I just received an email from Sony regarding Everquest 2 Battlegrounds. There are 3 PvP maps with either 6 or 24 players on each side. The type of matches announced are Capture the Flag, Tower capture and hold, as well as having to find and hold onto a relic of some kind.
Apparently we wanted it so we’ve got it, according to SOE.
My Everquest 2 guild neXus has a regular group night on a Monday and someone (I might have had a hand in it ), suggested we video the sessions. In our guild we often throw out the rulebook when doing zones, either because we never found it in the first place or due to the fact we just think “to hell with it”.
We thought it could be amusing for the gaming world to see our antics in Everquest 2. The first of our group nights to be recorded was Ward of Elements a 2 group raid zone. The link to our video on livestream is below.
Sentinel’s Fate the upcoming Everquest 2 expansion is now available on Pre-Order according to a mail I received from SOE. To see where you can pre-order the expansion you can check it at the SOE site.
It’s not surprising to know that you can only pre-order at the moment from US sites, if anyone finds a UK site you can pre-order from, let me know.
Zam has a trailer and some screenshots from the new expansion.
There are 3 versions available to Pre Order.
Everquest 2 servers are to host a GM led event, the Norrathian Rat Race.
Server dates and times can be seen via the link above. The first race is actually today!
For my server Splitpaw the event is on the 20th, a week from now. I’m going to have to run home from work to make it in time though.
Anyone plan on attending?
A member of my guild linked this image on our site and I thought I’d drop a quick post here to let you know where to find me in MMO hell. It’s designed by Tim Buckley over at Ctrl+Alt+Del and I think all of us will be doomed to spend eternity in one circle or other.
Where do I fit Myself?
Well I’d enter at the gateway and go right by the first circle of Perpetual Noobness of course. I would however give it a passing glance in memory of all those amusing MMO mistakes I made, like running of a cliff when looking at my map or edging just that bit too close to the big nasty mob for a better look.
